OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dynamic Influencer Marketing Manager with proven experience activating creators across YouTube and YouTube Shorts. This role owns the end-to-end execution of influencer campaigns for multiple Fortune 500 brand clients.

The Influencer Marketing Manager is responsible for talent casting and negotiation, creative development, campaign management, and performance reporting. This is a hands-on role that requires approximately 80% individual contributor work (executing campaigns, building client materials, managing talent relationships) and 20% team coordination (delegating tasks to 1-2 Coordinators/Interns as needed).

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Vice President of Influencer Marketing and collaborates cross-functionally with Creative, Strategy, Account Management teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Casting & Planning

  • Research and identify trending talent, emerging creators, and evolving platform trends on YouTube and other social channels
  • Build client-facing materials including talent recommendation decks, campaign proposals, and strategic presentations
  • Maintain strong point of view on creator-brand fit based on audience analysis, content quality, and brand alignment
  • Stay current on platform updates and industry trends through active discovery and monitoring
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with talent managers and agents

Talent Management & Activation

  • Lead talent casting process from sourcing to proposal with comprehensive vetting protocols:
  • Conduct brand safety content auditsAnalyze audience demographics and engagement quality
  • Verify historical performance and authenticity
  • Complete safety and compliance checks
  • Communicate professionally with talent and agents throughout the campaign lifecycle, from initial outreach through final deliverable completion
  • Develop deal terms, creative briefs, and contract language in collaboration with legal team
  • Negotiate rates, deliverables, and timelines while maintaining budget parameters
  • Ensure all contracts are accurate, complete, and signed before campaign kickoff

Campaign Execution & Quality Control

  • Manage multiple concurrent campaigns from end-to-end, including:
  • Creative briefing and kickoff calls
  • Timeline and deliverable tracking
  • Content review and approval workflows
  • Revision coordination
  • Review all content deliverables for quality, brand alignment, and FTC compliance
  • Verify proper disclosure language and any product claims requiring clarification or substantiation
  • Provide clear, actionable revision guidance to creators with 24-48 hour turnaround
  • Build strong working relationships with creators and talent managers to ensure positive experiences
  • Coordinate timely payment processing and resolve any talent payment issues
  • Monitor real-time audience sentiment across comments and engagement, flagging potential issues to clients immediately

Reporting & Client Communication

  • Keep brand partners informed with proactive updates on talent status, content approvals, and campaign milestones
  • Track campaign performance metrics including views, engagement, audience reach, and sentiment
  • Develop end-of-campaign reports featuring:
    • Performance data and benchmarking
    • Audience insights and sentiment analysis
    • Learnings and optimization recommendations

Team Coordination

  • Delegate administrative tasks to Coordinator(s) including contract tracking, payment coordination, and data collection
  • Ensure team alignment on campaign priorities, timelines, and client expectations
  • Mentor junior team members on best practices for talent communication and campaign management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience in influencer marketing, with at least 2+ years managing YouTube creator campaigns
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful YouTube and YouTube Shorts campaigns with measurable results
  • Platform expertise with YouTube creator ecosystem, platform mechanics, and monetization models
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing contracts and talent deals
  • Knowledge of FTC guidelines and influencer disclosure requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to confidently present to clients
  • Project management capabilities to handle multiple concurrent campaigns with competing deadlines
  • Attention to detail in contract review, content QA, and compliance verification
  • Passion for social media with innate understanding of social trends, platform dynamics, and creator culture
  • Existing relationships with YouTube creators, talent managers, or agencies
  • Experience with influencer marketing platforms (Sprout, CreatorIQ, Traackr, or similar)
  • Background working with brands across multiple verticals 
  • Familiarity with content production processes and creative development
  • Experience in agency environments with Fortune 500 clients
